Real-Life Experience

NeSonya is an adult child of the sandwich generation, balancing raising her own children, being a family caregiver for grandparents, and supporting parents as they navigate the often changing landscape of aging. Advocating for family members that are a part of the forgotten middle – middle income seniors who have earned too much income to qualify for needs based Medicaid but lack the income to pay for long term cost of care and housing. It can be overwhelming and exhausting – this she has experienced personally and is her specialization. For NeSonya, the mission of Radiant Senior Advisors is personal. This firsthand experience ensures she approaches every client relationship with integrity, compassion, clarity, and dignity.

Industry Leadership

She brings a unique blend of high-level academic training, extensive practical experience, and profound personal compassion to every family she serves. She has over 20 years of experience and dedication in the senior care industry. Her lifelong dedication to seniors began early, having been cared for and inspired by a loving community of elders. This foundational experience drove her to pursue an education focused on service and expertise, culminating in both a Master’s Degree (MSW) and a PhD. A previous Adult Home Specialist, Adult Protective Services, Guardianship, and Placement pioneer bringing compassionate support that puts you first, offers personalized expert guidance to help reduce stress and help you find peace of mind during the placement process, local facility knowledge and connections, and certifications in senior advisory and adult care home administration.

Families We Have Had the Honor to Serve

Every family’s journey is unique. Here is what some of the families NeSonya has walked alongside
have to say about their experience.

T.W., Raleigh, NC (daughter of resident)

“When my mother’s care needs changed suddenly, I felt completely lost. NeSonya didn’t just hand us a list of options — she listened. She understood what mattered to our family and helped us find a community that truly felt like a fit. I don’t know what we would have done without her steady, knowledgeable guidance during one of the most stressful seasons of our lives.”

M.J., Durham, NC (son managing care from out of state)

“I live in another state and was trying to navigate assisted living options for my father from a distance. NeSonya treated our situation with the same care and urgency I would have expected if I were right there in the room. She was honest, thorough, and patient with every one of my questions. I felt like I had a true partner in this process.”

Healthcare Professional, Triangle Area

“I have referred several families to NeSonya, and every single one has come back to me grateful. She brings a level of personal commitment and local knowledge that you simply cannot find with a national service. She is the first person I call when a family needs placement support.”
